Since I live in Florida, that's what I would do. There's also beach glass. I collect that as well, and I have some I've found on the beach and other pieces I bought at a cute little shop. I've seen it at Wal-Mart, too.

I would also consider putting nuts in the container for the holidays with a nutcracker nearby, or if you have a sweet tooth, some peppermint candies or candy canes. If you did that, you could stripe the outside of the container with three red ribbons which could be removed later.

How about gold-beaded, silver-beaded, or red-beaded garlands? Or some type of fancy trifle for dessert? Or making round painted ornaments with your children and adding to them each year with the date on them? The possibilities are endless!

Thanks for letting me play. :-)

SheilaThe Quintessential Magpiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04010105595059019883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2400481463048237212.post-19870684823747869042008-10-26T07:50:00.000-04:002008-10-26T07:50:00.000-04:00Any suggestions for dark wood paneling..I cannot p...Any suggestions for dark wood paneling..I cannot paint I am a renter?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2400481463048237212.post-36819600240623993272008-10-25T20:54:00.000-04:002008-10-25T20:54:00.000-04:00Congratulations on your award... it's well~deserv...Congratulations on your award... it's well~deserved!
