Can't Wait For Spring??

If you're anything like me, then you can't wait for Spring to arrive! What better way to cure the Winter Doldrums than to add a burst of color and life to your home with potted flowers?!!

It's as simple as going to your nearest grocery (or even home improvement) store and picking up a few gorgeous, potted blooms. Look for flowers that still have some unopened buds left on them for a longer bloom time in your home. Follow the directions for watering, sit back & enjoy!!!

Even a "Black Thumb" gardener could easily take care of these lovely orchids!

I purchased them at my local home improvement center. They're called "Just Add Ice" orchids, and you do just that -- they get watered once a week (here it's on Sundays) with just 3 ice cubes. How easy is that! Can't over or under water these with such an easy system!

Tulips, hyacinths, orchids, daffodils, paperwhites....they are all beautiful! What do you like?

Here is some more lovely inspiration:

What a gorgeous potting area! Love all of the vintage goodness in this picture!
This would be beautiful in a sunroom or an enclosed porch.
Don't even get me started on the framed bird prints!

Makes me want to sit here with a cup of tea and a book full of gardening inspiration!
Can't wait to start planning my new garden!

Pastel colored flowers in weathered old pots, combined with broken, aged statuary....
....gorgeous!!!

One pot is lovely......but grouped in 3's or 5's -- WOW!!!

How cute is this???
Need I say more?!

Wrap some old canvas or burlap around your pots and tie with some ribbon or jute string.
Rustic and elegant at the same time!

So, go out and treat yourself and your family to some (early!) beautiful Spring blooms! They'll last so much longer than a bouquet of cut flowers, and it'll definitely put a smile on your face for weeks to come!

Good-bye Winter Blues.........Hello, Spring Blooms! :)

ps...If you haven't checked out my post from yesterday, I could really use some Disney advice! Thanks :)!!

Beautiful blossoms!! :) The snow is really coming down here in VA today, so I can't even imagine Spring right now. But I do have a small, potted primrose in my kitchen! :)

I'm also anxious for Spring. I can't wait to get my hands dirty in the garden. This year I'm thinking of planting hydrangeas. I love the orchards. We have a few silk orchards placed through out our living room. I'm starting to day dream over those lovely pictures you've posted. Have a super blessed weekend.

Have a great day!!

LOVE the "just add ice" concept. I adore orchids and when Mr. B and I were 1st married, I just could not master keeping an orchid alive. You may have helped resurged my hope in having orchids throughout the house.

Now if only I could get rid of all the snow from Friday and Saturday.

Cheers~

The images of the flowers are breathtaking, so nice. I love what you've said in your profile about 'Creating a Welcoming Home', and think it is so important! The home must be a place of refuge and comfort away from what can sometimes be a harsh world, keep up the good work~

Beautiful orchids! I'm really happy to hear the 3-ice-cube advice. I've only bought an orchid one time, and I killed it. . . I bet I over-watered it!

Beautiful and does help cure the winter blues. Although I'm also enjoying our snow covered ground this week. We aren't cooped in and the snow is beautiful!
