Ms. Carli of Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
saw an old post of mine that showed this platter (above) that I had the artist Jan Dutcher paint for me.
I first saw Jan's work in a magazine article and fell in love with the style of her work. Then I saw her work again, featured in a shop that was showcased in a different magazine. When I called the shop to ask about purchasing the platter I had fallen in love with, the piece had already been sold, :( but I convinced them to ask the artist to paint another "Family" art platter for me! :) The words perfectly describe our family! This is a piece that we display and love!!
So imagine my delight to see how Carli has made this plate her own by coming up with this cute project!

Then she added wording that describes HER family values perfectly!

i remember this and have it saved in my archives! she really did a wonderful job with hers! of course i have a back log of projects and i am so looking forward to spring when i can spray paint anything and everything that is not nailed down!

Love this plate...thanks for stopping by and visiting me and your nice comments on my transferware. Can't wait to see what you are doing in your new home. I so related to your last post about it going from a house to a home. Having moved around a bit myself, I really believe it takes 6-12 months for that feeling to begin and then another year to really solidify those feelings.

I love this and will check out fearfully and Wonderfully Made (great blog name, huh?) I was wondering if you know if Jan Dutcher has a blog, site, etc. I love her --that issue of Home Companion that she was in is my most loved issue!
