ReplyDeleteWhat a nifty swap! I love Spring... It feels great to open the windows and let the crisp fresh air in the house after being closed up over winter. First thing in the morning, I love to sit on my patio with my cup of coffee and listen to the birds wake up; chirping, courting and twitterpating.(gotta love Bambi)I enjoy the "smells of Spring" and watching all of my trees sprout leaves, my flowers bloom and the green of my seedlings peeking out of the dirt. I'd have a great time refreshing my herb garden with your herb packets.

I wish I loved spring--but here in Montana it is miserable. I guess there is the hope of better weather to come, but that hope is usually crushed by snow (like right now!). I am afraid it is my least favorite season, but the other three are great.

Winter is super long up here in Alaska and once the beautiful sun starts shining again in March, I want to burst out in song like Maria in the opening scene of Sound of Music. God is good and His warm sun reminds my heart of his loving kindness.

ReplyDeleteWhat I love about spring is that my boys get to be outside every.single.day! After such a wretched winter, we're looking forward to having the doors and windows open and their screaming being perfectly acceptable outdoors. Finally!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat do I love about Spring? I love the antipation of longer days to enjoy and seeing my neighbors after it seems like months of being in the house.
ReplyDeleteI also love seeing a mother duck and ducklings (not sure if I referring to this right here!) cross a busy street and stop traffic to a standstill so they can get across the road safely...it truly makes you think about what's important in life!
I love how I can feel the signs of Spring approaching. The birds start chirping, trees start blooming, tulips start popping out of the ground and slowly but surely the weather begins to get a little warmer and the sun begins to shine a little brighter. The cool crisp morning make early morning walks or working in the yard so peaceful and relaxing. Last year we built a pond in our front yard next to the front door entry. We basically just had the hardscape of the pond with stone and boulders, until just a week ago when we added some grasses and flowering perennials that have made a dramatic impact to this area. It is amazing what a little greeny can add to a space. I love sitting out on our front porch listening to the water trickle off of the stones and into the pond. We have been getting a lot of visits from quail, which has been fun to see. Along with this, Spring brings more outdoor activities, which both my Hubby and I love. We bike ride, hike, and take walks a few times a week. Winter time always feels so strange without these activities.
