I found the cutest silver bucket thingy (for wine ? I think) at an area neighborhood sale this Saturday! It was toward the end of the yard sale, and this was actually still there!! Lucky-duck me!
I just love it! I think there are so many uses for it!
Like holding kitchen utensils....
...or a pretty arrangement of shells & coral....
There are lots of other ideas I've thought of, but I want to know.....

I bought one almost exactly like that. I have used it for flowers as a vase and a utensil holder. I painted mine black at Christmas and wrapped it in ribbon and filled it with ornaments. I love things like that that you can move and change around throughout the year.

I put a glass in mine and then fill it with flowers from the garden. If flowers aren't blooming, I use hosta leaves, and evergreens.

I LOVE how you have showed different ways to use it. I love the shells and think using it to hold utensils would add chic to any kitchen

I love the shells... What would I do??? It would be beautiful used as a vase with a beautiful bouquet in it. I love it!!! I so would have snatched it up.
I picked up the EXACT same urn (that's what I was calling it) at GW a couple of weeks ago. I did what a previous poster suggested and tucked a drinking glass inside and filled it with flowers I purchased at Costco. To hide the glass I snipped a few fronds from one of my ferns and tucked them in around the sides. It turned out beautifully!
I was just going to suggest another use for the "urn" that just came to my mind. There was a post somewhere in blogland a few days ago about covering an old child's ball with moss with your handy dandy glue gun and placing it in the top of the urn for a topiary type look. I think our silver urn would look fabulous filled with a mossy orb!
It was still there because you have a gift of being able to see all of those uses!! Thank you for helping us to catch a glimpse as well!

Love the coral & shells, but I would definitely use it for my favorite flower - hydrangeas!
I am not sure how deep it is, but I would get one of those glass hurricanes or a glass cylinder and fill with sand and add a few seashells and a white candle in it

I love how you used the shells, etc. I think one huge hydrangea blossom would be beautiful or a tight bundle of roses or carnations.

Stacey, what a great piece that is!!! I love it too, those 2 ideas are great. You could do a floral arrangement in there too with sticks or feathers.
I love how it looks with the shells/coral coming out of it! I might pile a bunch of ribbon in it because I like to do stuff like that sometimes. :) Kelly
