Fun Find -- Restaurant Dishes

What a Fun Find!

I was shopping at a favorite local shop recently and saw these beautiful, perfectly loved brown & creamy-white old restaurant dishes!

I just knew they'd mix perfectly with our everyday dishes and my brown transferware collection too!

Add in some cloth napkins with an embroidered nest on them from PB and some old silver spoons with the monogram "S" on them, and it really takes these dishes from "diner dinner" to "dazzling dessert"!!

Do you love to mix styles and patterns of dishes on your table too?

I can't wait to place these in my new pantry!!!

Have you scored any fun finds lately?

Well, I'm off to get a new haircut (goin' shorter! pray it looks good!) and then get working in the kitchen some more. Oh, my, do we have a lot to finish up tonight! I'll fill you all in tomorrow with pictures and updates on the new cabinet install! If you haven't become a fan yet of my Facebook page, then check it out!

Enjoy your day, my friends! I appreciate you all SO MUCH! Your friendship and sweet comments and e-mails are such a blessing in my life :)!!!

Those dishes are great. And of course I love brown transferware. They should all go wonderfully well together! I really like your nest napkins, too--how appropriate!

Awesome finds! I'm trying to be good and save my pennies because I have a big shopping trip planned at the end of the month. Hope I can find some sweet goodies like yours there.

Stacey-
I love the dishes. I've been collecting brown and cream colored dishes as well. They remind me of a toile fabric. So fun, cute and dressy...which ever way you want to take them.
Yes!!! I've found some great finds lately...will update my blog soon w/their outcome. I am waiting patiently for warm weather! They need to invent a spray paint that can be used in 30 degree weather. hello people!

Hey there!
first off your new hairdo looks so sweet on you. I like your new pic on the sidebar there.
I love restaurant style dishes, but never have had the luck of finding any at antique stores.
I did however purchase some white ones from williams-sonoma recently...there everday dinnerware is fabulous. They can go in the oven, freezer and dishwasher. Love that. I also have a set of blue willow plates that I love too. Now I can mix and match with my white ones.
oh, where do you go antiquing in the Chicagoland area? Relatively speaking we aren't too far from one another. Would love to hit the antique stores with you one afternoon.

Stacey the dishes and napkins are gorgeous! I thought the little nests were placed on top of the napkins at first. They are so precious.

Your haircut is wonderful! Love your new blog photo! :)
