Sweet Start From My Sweet Hearts!

I am bursting with love right now! Look what I found waiting for me on the table when I came downstairs this morning!!

A "speshal breakfast" from my 2 girls!! :)

They got it ready all by themselves, and were so proud to show me!

And when I got a wee bit teary, and grabbed the camera to take a picture to keep this moment forever (cause, come on, don't we all have a camera at the ready anymore? LOL!), they excitedly exclaimed, "Oooh, Momma! Are you gonna put it on your blog?!!"

Yes, girls, I am!

What a "speshal" way to start the day!! And a great reminder to ME to make sure the start to my family's day also starts on a sweet note!

It doesn't take much to have a sweet start:
A "Good Morning" Hug
A Smile
Using a Cheerful Sounding Voice
Having a Morning Routine
Uplifting Music and Talking instead of TV
Starting the Shower for Your Spouse
Telling Your Family How Beautiful/Handsome They Are {Inside and Out}
A Simple & Healthy Breakfast
A "Speshal" Love Note!
Don't Forget to Say "I Love You"!!

These things are SO simple and easy, but will make a wonderful Sweet Start to your family's day!

How do you create a Sweet Start in the morning??
Share it with us in the comments for some more great ideas!!

That is so sweet! I do start the shower every morning for my son. It's funny though, he's 16 and rather grumpy in the mornings. I'm perky so he tells me to talk quietly. Oh well.

for MY shhhweetheart, I always prepare the coffee pot the night before...after I brush and floss I go get everything ready for him to "push the button" the next morning....

My kids used to do fun things... savour the moment

I always spend an hour watching cartoons with my boys, first thing in the morning. We have breakfast and get the day started off on the right foot that way. They take a little while to get going, and they love the snuggle time they get with me then(they are 3 and 2).

Seeing your morning treasures touched my heart. :o)
Every morning I will greet my children with a kind voice by saying "good morning." They will return the greeting to me and I just pray that these will be memories that they take with them into life and repeat with their own children. :o)
Notes are big in our home too. :o)
My daughter (who began attending public school this year) sends an email every morning, to me, from school. :o) I love how she has carried our love of notes with her!
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne

HOW SWEET! I love your "speshal" breakfast!!

My momma usually sang songs to us in the morning...typically something that had to do with the morning, and now I have found myself doing that to Amelia. You are so right about how important it is to make a point to make mornings "speshal." Great post! :o)

You are raising them right, girl! I'm sure they will grow to be as kind and special (I mean "speshal") as you are!

oh, so speshal!! I love it. They are such dear-hearts!

My hubby is so good to me in the mornings. Would you believe he feeds my kiddos, starts the coffee, and starts my bath so that I have time to get dressed and cleaned up without little ones attached to my ankles. Oh, I cannot praise these little things enough. Thanks for this post... I think I will adore him with praise tonight!

Oh how precious! I so miss those days when my children were young and left little love notes for me to find. Tell them that they did a wonderful and thoughtful thing!

That is sooo sweet! Are those TRIX?? While I was pregnant, the only thing I could eat in the morning was Trix cereal. Now it is Kyle's favorite...hehehe!

Awww...that is just precious. Those moments are so special. My kids are grown and out of the house now, but I still try to start our day of with a smile. First thing I do is start the coffee pot then turn on KLove on the radio so I can fill the house with some praise and worship. My husband and I always try to make each other laugh before we head out the door to our stressful jobs.

What "speshal" girls you have! So thoughtful. I loved your list ideas...thank you! :) I play peek-a-boo with my one year old through the slats in her crib while my three year old sings to herself in her room. ;) I've noticed that since I started blogging, I have my camera much more handy!

Stacey, what a great way to start your day. I really enjoy reading your blog and seeing all the beautiful projects and rooms you are putting together. I was encouraged by your window mistreatments post a while back and just hung some valances in our breakfast room. I would love for you to come by and take a look. Thanks, Bonnie

I say "good morning" to my kids in a tone that would make you think I haven't seen them in months, like I'm sooo excited, surprised and pleased to see them.

That is just darling! What sweet girls you have!
I sing a special 'Good Morning' song to my kids that my Mom used to greet me with.
Even if I wake up tired or grumpy just singing that certain song even gets me in a good mood and it always makes my son laugh and my daughter babble!
Happy week ahead~ Les

This morning I awoke to at least a foot of snow blanketing the earth outside and the wonderful aroma of my husband making one of his famous breakfasts. No school, of course, so we got to eat this morning feast together as a family and talk about our day ahead. Does it get any better than that? ~Kim
