The Big Sunroom Makeover Reveal!

Whooo-hoo!!! Today's the "Big Reveal" for the Sunroom Makeover!

Above is the before pic, and below are LOTS of afters!! :)
(And I'm apologizing for the icky quality of the pics, it's just so overcast outside!)

"After...." (click on pics to enlarge, if you wish :)
Hubby lovingly painted the sunroom in Duron's Tobacco Road.
I had heard so many amazing things about it from Nester and others on the web, that I had to try it out! I'll admit that I freaked out at first, then wondered if I should go down a step to Plantation Beige, but now we really love it!

The new white slipcovers, yea!
And pillows that I made myself!!

Y'all were so interested in my antique French key, I added some more pics! It is the key to my "secret garden"!! This is my "garden room" after all!! :)

It's hanging from an old scale!!

My newly spray-painted barn star!!

I love chalkboards, and these are some of my favorites!
The "menu" one below I got from JunkMarket tour at the Kane County Flea Market several years ago!
The menu hasn't changed in a couple years, it reminds me of the outdoor movie festivals we would host each year!!

My floral frog collection :)
The pillow fronts are the most gorgeous Martha Stewart Signature fabric. I got this as a remnant at a fabric store. There wasn't enough for the pillows, so I got some complementary sagey-mossy green fabric for the backs. It matches the "leaf" color in the fabric fronts, and also matches the distressed painted color of the coffee table and sisal rug border!

Look how the white is crisply set off by the rich neutral Tobacco Road paint color!

Sadie likes her "new room"! :) LOL

( We really wanted to put up bamboo roman shades as well, if you remember, but our windows would require a special order width, and since we plan to sell the house this year we decided to put that on hold. Painting was a LOT cheaper! )

I really hope that y'all like the makeover! We are enjoying it so much!!
Thanks for visiting :), leave me a little comment to say "hello"!!!

Oh Stacey, it is just spectacular! I absolutely love everything about it, but that Pepsi bin is really great. The wall color really warms it up too. I can tell you really put a lot of thought into this room. Way to go!

Wow I love it! The color on the walls made such a difference. You can see the great lines of the ceiling now so much more than before. I love all the furnishings and girl...that cloche on the scale is to die for!! I also love the garden table and all the goodies.

When the time comes that you are ready to sell, people will be drawn instantly to that room.

Thanks for sharing some springy inspiration. :)

My goodness, I love it! This is the second person I've seen use Tobacco Road paint color. I have a friend that swears by it. Maybe the next time we paint we'll have to give it a try. It looks fabulous.

It looks really pretty! I love the white slipcovers! They look really good against that color. I tried that color in my family room and it didn't work for me - I'm thinking you need a room with lots of natural light cause it looks great in your sunroom!

Wonderful transformation! It is bright and beautiful-looks like such a tranquil place. You have done good! I too, LOVE the paint color but am not familiar with the brand??? Can you share a little more about it? I am in St. Louis so it is possible we don't carry it here???? Thanks so much!

Wow, Stacey! It's gorgeous! The wall color brings such warmth to the room and with all the white, it balances everything. I love it.

HI! You won something in my drawing! Stop over!

What a difference the color made! It really makes all the white "pop". How much do you love being in this room?

Stacey @ The Blessed Nest said...

Teri,
The paint color is from Duron "Tobacco Road". Duron was bought by Sherwin Williams, so you can go to their store and they have the Duron formulations to make the paint for you! Or to be cheaper, I'm sure a home improvement store could match it too!

Blessings,
Stacey

Stacey, it looks beautiful! You did a great job & I'm really jealous of those slipcovers you made yourself. I've got that project on my list too for a chair & ottoman & I'm a little nervous since I'm not a great seamstress. I figured this will be a learning experience.

I love the whole feel of the room, all those little elements together make it so cozy & warm. That's a great wall color that I've seen around for years now. My sister has Plantation Beige all through her house.

Really beautiful! I love the slip covers. All the little touches have made the room just perfect. I actually like the fact that the windows are bare. For a sunroom, that is a great look.

Bonnie said...

Stacey, Im thinking of getting new white slipcovers as well. Where did you find yours - Online or Out and about? Your sunroom looks great!!

Great job on the slip covers! I also love the paint choice...my aunt has this color in her home...she's an interior designer. This space is very welcoming to me...but I'm a gardener and adore all your bits here and there.

Isn't it amazing what a can of paint can do! I LOVE the wall color.

Your slips are beautiful too, did you make them? The detail is awesome? What Fabric is it? I am not talented, so I had a seamstress make some for me.. yours' look just super.

Stacey,
You did a great job! What I really love about this room is that it is "fancy" enough to be gorgeous and trendy, but it also looks like you can actually LIVE in it. It is comfy and inviting. I could spend a little time in a cheery room like that with a good book and an iced latte! :)

The paint choice was perfect. I'm trying to decide where I can try it in my house too. :)

Girl! Great job on your sunroom... I am so sorry that I missed your reveal!!! (if you hop over to my blog... you will see that we were a little busy that day!)
I think you did SUCH a good job, especially considering you were restricted by having to make choices appropriate for a future move. I love it. And yes, that color is fantastic. I also love the chalkboards. BEAUTIFUL room!
